This evening of shared songs and stories celebrating New Mexico’s diverse musical heritage continues at The Lensic. Last year's event was curated by musicologist Enrique Lamadrid, aural historian Jack Loeffler, and author and archivist Celestia Loeffler.
Every spring, people travel to the The Lensic from northern and central New Mexico to perform in and attend this special evening of music. Nuestra Música premiered on The Lensic stage in the spring of 2001 and is the only annual concert featuring the Hispano folk music of the state. Past performers have included Hermanos Martinez (Rob and Lorenzo Martinez), Cipriano Vigil y la Familia Vigil, Roberto Mondragon, Frank McCullough y Sus Amigos, and El Trio Jalapeño with Antonia Apodaca.
